| My friend has just reported her son to the police because he is always thieving and he is known to the police and they have told her that if he does it again he is going to be put away. Well she has found out he is still doing it and has shopped him to the police, I couldnt believe a mother could do that but she says she has done it for the best because he just wont take any notice of warnings. Would you do that or do you know anyone that has |

I hope that I'd do it if one of my kids was going astray, a short sharp shock at a younger age might prevent a lifetime of pilfering and misery making. A mother round by me always hoped her precious little boy would grow out of it, never reported him, even covered up for him a couple of times..when he started stealing from neighbours her loyalty to him became sickening. He was stealing off people that his mum called friends, now however shes been left with nothing, son is inside for another long stretch and half the neighbours gave evidence against him and want nothing to do with her.
Your friend deserves a pat on the back....its called tough love and I hope it pays off for her. |

Hello,
I read your post with interest. I am looking to talk to parents who have shopped their child to the police and you mentioned that you have a friend who did this to her son. Are you still in contact with the friend? I would be very interested in talking to both of you. I would likee to hear more about your opinion regarding how anyone could do that.
I would really appreciate a call from you and can be contacted on 01603 281013 or of course by return email.
Yours sincerely
