It occurs to me that if women can wear "man-tailored" suits and pants, men should be able to wear "woman-tailored" underwear. Let's face it, in Shakespeare's time, the men wore the fancy duds, including stockings and frills, and the women wore dull gray, long dresses made of wool. It's only a question of fashion. We wear what we wear because of trends, not because it's right or manly or womanly to do so.

All that having been said, I think both men and women should wear what they want so long as it pleases them.

I'm really not convinced as to why you want to wear women's clothes, except maybe you're a cross dresser. I don't see the majority of hetero women getting turned on by a man in a dress or wearing lace undies intended for women. Also understand that the majority of women that wear man-tailored outfits does not appeal to the vast majority of hetero males. When it comes to hetero dating wearing distinct article of clothing that's intended for the opposite sex usually implies a crossdresser or someone not particularly straight. That's how it's interpreted to many. It depends on what that item of clothing is.

Also about Shakespearean times, please don't confuse the male attire in all it's flamboyancy as women clothes. They made elaborate clothing back then for males but it was still male tailored. The men were not going around wearing women-tailored clothing as a whole, except the few that were into that.

I don't see why you can't find colorful sexy boxers and briefs for men? Men's clothing has really taken off, and I mean sexy wise. Men have gstrings to choose from, custom made thongs for them, silk boxers, different patterns and the list goes on. What are you not finding in the men's department that you are in the women's?

Five things, at least: Lace, Lycra blends, certain colors, quality & comfort (not made to be worn more than half a dozen times in the bedroom, but to be used for everyday wear), and low prices. Where can you find a man's Thong, for example, in nylon-lycra, for a regular price of $2.99? Never mind the other three items. Maybe for 6.99 or more. With quality double elastic from the crotch to the back of the waistband, instead of a thin, usually non-elastic spaghetti strap?

Then there is the thrill of wearing the FORBIDDEN...

In response to Friction (two posts above), I never said that I wear the clothing designed for the opposite sex. I simply point out that I have no problem if someone chooses to do so.

Further, there are on the market today, pantyhose, panties, skirts/kilts and other items of clothing that are designed for and marketed to men (a quick google search will provide details).

Of course, the frilly togs of Shakespeare's time were made for men. And the bland, dowdy ones were made for women. The point was that times and fashions change. In fact, the only thing about change that can absolutely be said is that it will come.

My point remains: if men want to wear underpants that are composed of nylon or silk and cut in the same manner as what are now marketed to women, that should be their choice. Likewise if they want to wear very long socks, composed of nylon and lycra, that happen to be sewn into their underpants. or shirts that happen to have lace attached. or kilts that happen not to be in a plaid fabric and are perhaps not pleated.

Get the point?

I get it alright, you need to come out the closet. There's no shame in crossdressing. Tip: If you straight, don't expect many dates.

Also about the clothing discussed here, there are men who want to wear women's clothing made for a woman as oppose to male tailored items that are the equivalent to an article of clothing in the women's department. There's gstrings, thongs, and the list goes on, but made for a man not a woman. So if a man wants to wear women's clothing then he's likely a crossdresser. This doesn't appeal to the majority of hetero's libido.

You aiming high, women would be lucky to get the same at 2.99. I feel that if more men start purchasing these products then it will create a demand to provide a better variety to these consumers. The problem is, most men are engrained that boxers are the better choice, maybe briefs if they want to be a little risque, but hardly any are encouraged to seek out male-tailored thongs, gstrings and other sexy pieces. More men need to buy these things if they want to get a better selection offered to them in the future. Otherwise distributors will see it as a waste of money trying to expand their undergarment lines for men when this particular group as a whole is not that interested.

I know this is a long dead thread but.....

I have to agree with you in that I do find some womens underwear more comfortable than the mens stuff. One thing I would like people to do is look at any of the female underwear available on this site and then look at this, also available from this site.

For me, the answer is females underewear! I know it is comfortable, I know it is more good looking and I know which I prefer.

Actually yes, but then 'normal behaviour' has a habit of being redefined make up used to be only for blokes

Normal seems to be swilling lager and watching 22 sweaty hairy blokes kicking a ball around and jumping on each other every time a goal is scored...and quite frankly thats not my kind of 'normal' your welcome to it

But seriously if its harmless I'll do what I want, and I don't give a damn whether it's 'normal' or not

The unfortunate truth is that some folks refuse to accept the notion that society's current definition of "normal" is a work in progress-just like the language. As English has evolved and changed on a daily basis throughout the years, so has the definition of normal.

Example: not long ago, to call someone gay would be to say he or she is happy. Nowadays it is to say he or she is homosexual. Likewise with clothing. There is no normal in a cosmic sense. Only what the beholder has in his eye today.

That's the long way of saying: pick your own definition. Then follow it. But be ready for the fact that it will change with time and experience.

I wear nothing but pretty satin undies and girly clothes, I'm definitely not gay, I just like to get in touch with my feminine side a little. I've been doing it long enough that girlygirl undies are mostly just clothes to me at this point, although I still get a thrill out of putting on sexy ondies with satin and lace, or wearing my tight girly jeans. I don't wear anything that's so femme looking that it's obvious, and hardly anyone ever notices I'm wearing girls clothing.

That guy says he's straight and there's just no way. How about strapping on a pair and showing a little masculinity? Apparently you show your feminine side ALL the time. I can't imagine you date women, well maybe lesbians would be into you. No woman who wants a MAN could dig you.

I don't think anyone should be too judgmental about others. 'Normal' is always defined by individauls on the basis of their own personal values, so there is no such thing as normal.

Wearing womens' underwear is not necessarily related to sexual orientation. From a heterosexual viewpoint, I find it erotic in the extreme. the thought of having sex with my wife while wearing lingerie is a hot turn-on. Even better if both of us wear the same.
