| I was wondering who wears glasses? I've been wearing contact lenses for about a year and half and I'm getting sick of them. I've never worn glasses and wanted an opinion if they are a better option to lenses, also I've heard about that laser eye surgery but I dont think I'm really that desperate |

I wear glasses too. Not designer ones (at least I don't think they are) but I love them and would never even consider contacts. I think of glasses as an accessory, just like jewelry, and I have 6 pairs of them to go with different outfits.
Besides, I have dark circles and my glasses do a wonderful job of hiding them. My faves are dark rimmed cat's eye ones. I just found a gorgeous pair that I really want. Black on the front side, red on the back side and just so damn COOL! But they'll cost me $350 which I'm not sure I can swing right now. Poo! Maybe next month. |

I wear glasses too, mainly for driving and luckily I was able to get some kids designer frames which are a perfect fit.
Take someone who knows you well with you when you go and pick them, and make sure they are totally honest with you! |

I've always worn glasses, as I don't like the idea of putting contact lenses in my eye and could never be bothered with the hassle of cleaning them every day or more!
It's certainly possible to find some very nice feminine styles too.

Hi Sal
You need to link to an off-site avatar, from the "Avatar Control Panel" on your profile page.
I have the image on my site at http://www.naughtygirl.org.uk/images/ruth-black.jpg which I used for my avatar, so you'll need to have your image on an external website as well.
Hope this helps. Please feel free to nab me again if that doesn't work
All the best
Ruth

Hi Sal
I had a look on Dictionary.com, and it said that an Avatar was originally an incarnation of a Hindu god, but in technospeak, it means "an icon or representation of a user in a shared virtual reality"...
Hope you get the piccie working.
Ruth

ok. I've tried to put up one of my illustrations but it keeps telling me it has to be under 6K. If it's under 6K you can't even see it! Maybe I'm just not doing it right.
How did you put up the pic in your reply message? |

Hi Sal
I used the [ 1 ] tag (but get rid of the spaces between the square brackets and the "1" text...
e.g.
[ 1 ]http://www.naughtygirl.org.uk/portfolio/transfigure-2004-photos/ruth-143.jpg[ /1 ]
would give:
and the image there is *much* bigger than 6K too!!!
Hope this helps
Ruth
P.S. Remember to take the spaces out between the square brackets and "1" and "/1"... |

Thanks for your help. I feel like such a dope!
can you do that for the image that goes under your sign in name too? I don't want it to be huge but I definitely need it to be more than 6K for it to show up at all
thanks again. |

Hi Sal
I think you want to choose the option to link to an image on another Web site rather than upload one if it is to be bigger than 6K in size, for your avatar image.
thanks

Hi Naughty Girl.
I haven't really given the avatar thingy another try. Just lazy I guess. Maybe I'll bother with it one day but for now I'm ok with just hanging out in the tree, sans avatar attachment.
come on over to the tree and give the boyz and girlz a holla. Write some witty refrain and I'll put in a good word for you. I'm sure everyone would love to have you join us. |
