On CNN this morning they had this writer Seymour Hersh who is famous say little george and chaney want to get a war going with Iran before they leave office.......................
The mind boggles .............even though both hid from going to war when they were young they are in heat to start ones now for a whole new generation of Americans to fight & die in ...............
Also seem stupid as hell since America has lost the war in Iraq and is losing in Afghanistan .Theyrtrying for three lost wars in a row ?
Also since the CIA says Iran has no atomic bomb program
And since it might cause a global depression by making oil cost even more ....................
According to Hersh the USA has had soldiers making commando attacks on Iran for some time . Also 'peace loving ' israel has soldiers fighting inside Iran ...................little georgey and his slimey co-hort want to start a fight before fall.
Help............... |

Bush has been itching to invade Iran for a while, which given the mess he made in Iraq (which will prove to be a pussycat compared with Iran) is deeply worrying. I've also read reports of Israeli activities, allegedly backed by Bush, in Iran.
I just hope he gets out of office before he can do something we're all going to regret. |

Not wishing to p*ss on anybodies bonfire here but i don't think even GW is stupid enough to invade or attack Iran with little or no public or world wide support for such an action.
there are a few reasons for this
1 as stated before only a fool goes to war without public support
2 economic conditions aren't right for such action(inflation, cost of fuel, credit crunch etc)
3 Turkey's support for an invasion would be nil and as in Iraq this cost time and probably american soldiers lives
4 There are far too many US & UK Troops in the region already causing over commitment for already stretched Forces
In all probability the Americans are probably spending most of their time trying to persuade Israel not to launch an attack on Iran (which is probably a lot more likely) |

I don't think Iran is anyone to mess with. We will truly be in a mess if Obama is to lead us as Commander in Chief.
I don't believe this anyway. Going to war with Iran is suicide for all included. |

Which may well not work. The US has spent all its credibility on both the military and the diplomatic fronts. Militarily, they have lost the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Diplomatically, they have relinquished all leadership status by going it alone in Iraq.
See the ball…see your future.

I already mentioned this on the o'bumma thread. It was reported in the news that Israel is considering this. Makes some sense from their viewpoint. If they think they'll have to strike someday, then it is better to do it now while they may have some support. Otherwise they'll have to wait eight years, at which time it likely will be too late and they won't be able to strike without being wiped out. |

It's no good Ben. This situation could sway my vote. I want to hear how the candidates are reacting to this. |
