No, it made them stupid if it happen. I've never heard of that though. If there is any truth to that it would have been in the 1950's NOT 60's. He was not shown on TV from the waist down in the 50's. Times change.
In 2001, people burned the music of the Dixie Chicks. However, no one was force to burn anything. In the 60's women burned their Bras. That's one I can relate too. I don't like my girls taken prisoner.
