Mr Huckham, I have seen posts from lots of people on a number of web sites and they agree with the contents of posts that I have seen from Quantinus regarding fashion freedom on this site. I just happen to have the same opinions on the issue of fashion freedom and will continue to support men's fashion freedom.
I don't think that calling people "IDIOT" or insulting "Worcestershire" help anyone. I am not confined to Worcestershire in any case. Like many people, I travel as part of everyday life. Life goes on, whether in trousers, kilt or sarong.

Your surmise of my mental integrity and prowess is based solely on the FACT that I have a differing viewpoint to you. At no time have you, in this thread, used rational argument to expound the counter view your view that skirts for men wont ever catch on. You have merely been derisory.
This is about basic freedoms of choice as mentioned by KiltyCol and me (in other threads). We all, male and female, have the option, to a greater or lesser degree (sometimes dependent where we live globally), to exercise choice in, e.g., what and how much we eat, what and how much we drink, what we do for a living or not as the case may be, what entertainment we watch, where we shop the list is endless.
However in the context of freedom of choice for men to wear what they like, when they like without ridicule and derision is an anomaly. Women have had that freedom of choice for decades so why should that freedom not be extended to men.
It is the context that counts no-one is saying that men must wear skirts, tights/stockings etc just that should men, for whatever reason, choose to wear that type of clothing then they should be able to do so openly, as I have said, without ridicule or derision.
I respect your right to disagree with concept of men wearing skirts etc and with much of what has been said in this, and other threads on the subject, but I would hope that, if you believe in basic freedoms of choice, you would in turn respect the views of others.
This topic, and others like it, is not about cross-dressing, perversion or transvestism it is about freedom of choice in the clothes we wear. It is about being equal with women.
You might argue that it is not normal for men to wear skirts even though historically men have worn hosiery and skirt like smocks, togas etc longer than men have been wearing trousers.
However, normality is a concept - a given state at a given time which is susceptible to change thus, with enough influence by fashion designers and the right type of media exposure it could well become normal, contrary to your view, that men will indeed be free to wear skirts etc. if they so choose.

I enjoy the fashion freedom of wearing women's trousers tailored to fit my rather masculine body. But I will balk at the "fashion freedom" to wear skirts. That just ain't going to cut it, with me at least.

Not in isolation but if it should become the norm then no-one would bat an eyelid.
My argument is not whether or not I would wear a skirt or tights/hosiery - that is incidental. The argument is that if men should be able, like women, to have the freedom of choice to wear what they want without the sniggers, comment or abuse. After all clothes are only just that - clothes.

Hmmmm. Using that same argument, then, since women are free to wear "little black dresses", say with spaghetti shoulder straps, or even a halter tie, then the same option should be available to men as well.
