|
|
Hello, can you help me?!
I'm working on a cross-party initiative to put pressure on MPs to vote for an 80% traget for cutting carbon emissions by 2050.
At present the Climate Change Bill carries only a 60% target. By signing up thousands of people to our Facebook group <http://www.facebook.com/pages/Climate-Change-60-cut-is-not-enough/11917166969?ref=s> we can demonstrate popular support to leverage media coverage and ask why MPs are prepared to ignore the will of the people.
There is also a template letter that people can use to write to their MP and ask whether they are supporting the 80% target. Those that say 'yes' will go in the Hall of Fame, those that say 'no' go in the Hall of Shame!
Can you help by by signing up for the group and thereby registering your support?
It's crucial that we force the lawmakers to act in our long term interests, and all they understand are short term votes |

(I need money for my pension) |

It's too late to stop the carbon pollution... It has already done its damage... Stopping the carbon will have no effect on the planet's life support systems collapsing... That would be like trying to cure the flu with lemons... We've already struck the final death-blow to the planet... Now all humanity has left is to die with grace and dignity... You critters have about 145-thousand years left in Life.. with the last 20-thousand years as cannibals... You might as well have some fun with the little time you've got left... I hold the technologies to build for you thousands of new toys...
If you all want this species to live through its inevitable extinction, then move to another planet now... You'll need liquid electricity engines to get there... I could build these engines if I had use of a lab, but only in Canada... I don't trust the rest of the world as far as I can toss it...
All your great mindless scientists combined say it is impossible to build a regulatable liquid electricity source, because they can't think this much... I've taken it as far as I can without a lab... The rest is up to you...
Rather than try to legislate your politicians to stop carbon pollution, you would do better to push them into supplying me with a lab, a credit card, and a couple of well trained technicians... But it can't happen I've been told, because it costs money, and there's no immediate profit in it...
What's the life of humanity worth..?
_______________
You want to talk "carbon pollution".. then take a look at the Arctic... and those black rivers they found flowing under the ice... That's diesel exhaust particles... Try an experiment.. Sprinkle some black powder on the snow and ice in your yard.. and leave it for a day in the sun at temperatures well below freezing.. then study the results in 24-hours... Those little dishes in the ice and snow are lenses which magnify the sun's heat, like a magnifying glass can be used to burn paper... How many diesel electric generators are running in the Arctic this minute..? How many have been running constantly for the past 50-years..? How well can you swim..? How well can you die..?

what absolute garbage. that's an incredibly negative outlook. of course there has been damage done, but it's not too late to stop it getting any worse. as for letting you loose in a lab - i don't think i'd want to risk it.............. |

Got your pilot's license ready there, minigirl ?
If so - welcome to the Kleptabalonian Confederacy...
If not - maybe you're just another member of the ZapTronian Alliance.. |

haven't got my pilots licence (as an australian, should you really be spelling licence with an "s"? - but i digress). don't know if i want to fly around - with my luck i'd probably bump into cosmicb riding apep the dragon into infinity.
p.s. i tried googling "Kleptabalonian" "ZapTronian" to figure out what that was all about, but i'm no farther forward - although i did find a post on another forum by a banned member of that forum called nudebushwalker........... |

"with my luck i'd probably bump into cosmicb riding apep the dragon into infinity."
Try it, you'll like it....
If this human race would evolve a little, then I could do the things I am able.. and they wouldn't freak out over it.. but as things are I must hold myself down a lot, just to live among them...
I could establish three huge mindform dragons waddling behind me downtown, and gently rubbing their faces to mine like affectionate kittycats, but can you imagine the hullabaloo it would cause..? Is why I love the wilderness so much.. Out there I can be me, and do the things I so much enjoy.... Strange that the wild animals aren't afraid of dragons, nor of me... I think they feels my love for them, and I theirs for me....
I wish everybody could feel what I feel from the critter realms... It would make living life so much more exciting for all of you... I wish you critters would stop hurting my forest friends... They have so very much to offer you... For one, each species has the ability to open a different facet of your minds for you... We are the critters... Our DNA proves it... Every critter there is, is in our DNA... |

There is nothing worse than driving behind a small car with a low CO2 emissions rating belching out thick pungent visible particulate carcinogenic smoke. They pay less road tax because they are low on CO2.
We need to give the same priority to Cancer and Asthma reduction that we do to invisible, non-carcinogenic CO2. Some of the high CO2 emission cars are low on smoke, smell and carcinogens and are unfairly penalised. |
