It could be worse!
Home schoolers could be teaching "fairy" tales and how to have male male Anal sex with a condom like public schools! |

The religious are far better to lead.
You honestly think some panzy arsed liberal that wants disarm the military and let openly homosexual men bugger each other in the military are going to be effective protectors of it's citizens?
You think letting the dem's socialized medicine is going to make for better citizens when they no longer have to learn to take care of themselves?
You think the ideal liberal society is like the Netherlands.... where they have legal gay marriage and a Pro Child Lover political group that wants to legalize child p o r n ? |

you subscribe to the infantilisation of politics dont you Fred
its either black or white, theres no middle ground or room for debate, you argue like a child unable to see nuances or grey areas or in fact anything that is outside your narrow minded entrenched viewpoint
you bring in th emost obscure references to make your point (what is your point) ?that having a debate on religious indictrination in your country will turn it into the Netherlands? what has the netherlands got to do with anything?
youll find when you grow up that there are more complex issues in life
and who is the 'pansy arsed liberal' whos going to take over america?
and so what if men bugger each other in the militray (im pretty sure they already do) It obvoiusly offends you that they do
but back to the point.....
so why are 'the religious' far better leaders?
pray do tell |

Because religious leaders are not going to let us go the way of the Netherlands by pandering to the deviant! |

There's something to be said for the strategic flexibility of not having to adhere to a tightly worded doctrine. Machivelli had some interesting points on the religious faith (or otherwise) of the political elite - basically that it was important to look good but that practising what you preached got in the way.
I think you train religious fanatics one brain cell at a time.
I think Fred's point on open homosexuals is well made. Being buggered in the military sounds painful and I don't think ordinary decent gay men should be subjected to having to take it in the military.

Pick up the paper.
How many teachers do it?
little league coach's?
The church is a tool to men like that. Their motives were not proper to begin with.
Position invokes trust.
As for the Church excusing/ignoring it.... Yes...They definitely dropped the ball. |

Don't let the men that abuse their power get in the way of the subject at hand. |

Quote: "but its ok for the american cathloic church to cover up the paedophiles in its clergy and pretend it doesnt happen to save face"
I was molested by a catholic priest when I was three months old... Then by exploring my mind for 30-years, I eventually bumped into memory.. and it played back like you looking around the room you are in now...
So I figured I'd give them catholic-assholes a red-faced go on it, by posting it up all over the Net, about how that "Father Leo Engel, treasurer of their Obelisk Monks, molested a little 3-month old baby".. and they sure rushed to cover it all up... Seems that someone contacted all the places I posted it in, and somehow bot or got them to delete the posts from all but three places... Then they went so far on the cleanup as to dissolve the Obelisk Monkhood.. and now there is absolutely no-mention of the Obelisk monks even ever existing anywhere, not even on the Net, when there were lots of websites on it running before I started my bashing the baby-molester... Them thar insane catholics are sure good at covering up their poo, like cats bury their's... It's because they eat so much of it in their churches and schools... |

but thats my point the religiou sleaders would be no different from any others abusing their power - look at what cosmic wrote above.
why do you think religious leaders would be better because they are religious? |

im not syaing teachers and boy scout leaders dont do it, thats way off the point anyway,
im saying do you want religiously indoctrinated young people being trained specifically to go into politics in the White House? when you combine religion with politics you make it into an ideology. thats what islamists are doing and look what thats bred. do you want the same thing to happen with christainity? |
