Am I pregnant?

Hi everyone,

Im very confused and need some advice. First of all i've been on the pill for nearly 4 years but was recently in hospital so missed a weeks worth and then was given antibiotics so decided to take a break and have since been using condoms. (had no unprotected sex during this time). I came off the pill six weeks ago and have had no period since and usually if i missed a day of the pill by accident I would have a period straight away. In the past week I have been feeling so queasy and exhausted very suddenly. Could I be pregnant despite not having unprotected sex? Also because there was no split condom or incident I dont know how long to wait to take a test? My periods havent gone back to normal clearly since the end of taking my pill so I don't know when its late ifyou understand me. Any advice appreciated.

Just give it more time. It sounds like you've been through a lot this month so your body is probably reacting to other things like coming off the pill, antibiotics...etc. Feeling queesy in not an indication of being pregnant and some times periods are late.

If you don't want to wait, get a pregnancy test kit and check for yourself. Most of the time they are accurate.

Although I did get into a proper panic! Because of this.....guess who bought 3packets of these. So turns out I have been having practically unprotected sex against mywishes after all.

Did a test but it was negative but I still dont feel right. As Isaid my cycles on the pill were regular as clockwork but my periods normally are very irregular. If im feeling sick would the pregnancy test have shown postive?

If you are pregnant then yes the pregnancy test would show positive and you'd be feeling nauseous and sick.

I have had pregnancy like symptoms without being pregnant once and my period was also late at the time. The home tests were coming out negative but I wasn't convinced. I was actually convinced I was pregnant because I had unprotected sex. So anyway, I ended up going for a blood test and the test came out NEGATIVE!! So I wasn't pregnant and what a relief that had been.

Then there was another time when I had the same exact thing happen to me and I didn't trust anything but going in for a blood test. But that time when I got the results back the nurse shouted CONGRATULATIONS!!
