Hi there,
I had a m/c on 17/09/07 at 7.5 wks, the pregnancy expelled itself so there was no need for a d&c. I bleed for about 5 days from 13/10/07 to 18/10/2007 - longer than my normal periods (usually only 3 days) and darker blood which was really only after going to the toilet and not consistent. I have been feeling a bit sick and my boobs are a little sore on and off. I have done a pregnancy test but its negative. Is it possible that I could still be pregnant?? Has anybody else had a similar experience after a m/c??
xx

Hi - welcome to the forum, Nivea. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss - but the ladies on here are great and will give you plenty of sound advice and friendship - I think we've all kept eachother sane through some very bad times! (Or maybe we're ALL crazy and just don't realise it . . !)

I had a miscarriage, but only at 6 weeks, and I had none of the symptoms you describe at all - in fact, I didn't know I was pregnant, it was one of the few months I didn't bother testing since I'd had some light bleeding which I thought was my period. You might still have pregnancy hormones racing round your body, which is making you feel a bit sick and giving you sore boobs, or maybe it could be stress and sadness - that can do bizarre things things to your body.

I think the best thing for you to do is go back to your doctor - hopefully he or she will be able to put your mind at rest and explain what is happening to your body. It might just take a while for your hormones to settle, but a proper medical opinion is best.

Good luck - and let us know how you get on. XXX
