I was thinking about that bail out and after a little confusion, I found out one billion is one thousand million in the US. I was trying to work out why that actor dude's calculation was being bagged on because I thought a US billion was one million million.(Not that giving a million bucks to everyone would help anything) It turns out the old UK billion was one million million, but even then it isn't used much any more. Apparently, officially, we don't even have billion in Australia. Oh the confusion.

Zia only

Have a spectacular day!
:tounge:

:?

My child, perhaps you shouldn't try thinking too much or watching the Americans. I'm beginning to think it might be hazardous to your delicate health.

You have a great day too!!!

:bighug:

lol I got all that info about billions from the same website after a two minute search:
http://www.askoxford.com/asktheexperts/faq/aboutwords/billion
They kept showing Russel Crow's comments from Letterman here yesterday. That's what got me wondering what a US billion is because I also thought it was one million million, but I was wrong.
The economic bail out's been the headline in every news we've had this week. We've even had special live bulletins about it.
The US economy affects Australia too y' know.

Have a lovely evening

:D
Kasey Chambers lives somewhere down on the Central Coast - maybe an hour or so drive south of here, (there is a large community of Country singers there, plus on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, and around here and just west of here - if you lived in this area, I can pretty well predict where you could end up.. ).

I included one of her songs over in one of those music threads in Chit Chat..

You meaner than a junk yard dog - yeh right!!! You ain't meaner than me.

But then again - I DO know how mean you can be, don't I... :P

Question for you: Would you wear a pair of 5 inch stripper high heels, maybe in Red, on a dare? For $50? Or just because they were there and they happen to fit you? :P

Don't know what's gotta into me and my inquiring mind.

I'm having terrible phone and internet service. I can access FF but I can't pull of my personal email or talk on my tele. It's a bitch.

I've had a massive tummy ache today. I think I ate too much junk yesterday... I ate 2 hot dogs and a giant bowl of chocolate ice cream. My tummy has been on fire.

I'm not sure I answer your question publicly like this. How about "All of the above"?

Gee. I think it could be time to get that technician out to check the line. They may not even need to go to your house. I've had problems like that before and they found it was just a wire hadn't been connected properly at one of the nearby exchanges. The fuzzy connection caused data drop outs.
Telstra had it fixed in about half an hour! :D

Some insoluble fibre will likely help you feel better. It gets things moving through the insides like a chimney sweep's broom. A nice bit of fibrous fruit should help. :)

It's nice to have a binge now and again though. Chocolate ice cream was my favourite. When I was bodybuilding, I'd occasionally have a binge too. I could go through most of a 2 litre (1/2 gallon) tub of chocolate icecream in one sitting (Not that really dense stuff).
Coincidentally I've just been out grocery shopping. I didn't make a list this time and I was starving. I ended up with quite a bit of food.
Lately I keep having cravings for Tiramisu. I love the taste of the coffee and alcohol in it, but I cut out all dairy six months ago. Maybe, just maybe, I'll buy some soon.

8) re: Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson - I've just found 4 video clips with them, on YouTube tonight - I especially like that "Rattlin' Bones" clip, too - also, maybe has it's own relevance to a couple of discussions we're both involved in, elsewhere ???

I remember I included KC's "Am I Not Pretty Enough" in one thread last month..

Something I think you would be interested in is in Tamworth every January, if you ever come over here just for a break.. Another site...

With regard to the Line Dancing in you sig', are you really a line dancing fan, or was that event something you were involved in?? :P

I thought you'd like the old avatar more, I do. It's prettier. You're choice of avatar is definitely you too.

I went to the Perth Royal Show yesterday!
http://www.perthroyalshow.com.au/
It was a good day out. I got wind burn while up on the chair lift. The chairs were swaying back and forth in the wind as we trundled along hanging from a cable no thicker than my thumb. My confidence in the equipment was boosted when my friend pointed out some healthy rust on one of the poles.
:yikes:
Just to stir each other and others around us I made my friend call me "Night Hawk" while I called him "Dragon". That's what the two dudes called themselves in "Step Brothers".

I got about twenty photos and a bit of video from the chair lift of the seats in front of us swayed back and forth like an omen of an impending disaster.
I also took a mock exam of our national citizenship test again for the fun of it. I got two wrong this time. Last year I got about four wrong, but I still passed.

I hope you're having a lovely weekend. :D

Made any crank calls to a pizza joint lately?

Check out this Geeky kid. He's a bit obsessed with the computer game "Halo"

Bonus video: Campfire song
