:D

A new day, another song...

:P

I reckon I would have been just as charming and fair six months ago as what I am now, and there may well be the odd darker post from time to time in the future too - but that applies to a lot of others on here as well...
Hopefully I will be showing more of the nice side - and less of the dark..

I think you will find things aren't as "Christmassy" here over early Dec. ..
It's not as loud and bright as in the USA and parts of Europe - Christmas tends to only be a few days before and a day after - more understated, as people would expect from Aussies...
(No matter what eventuates, I will give you a couple of contact numbers beforehand - even if we didn't get to meet up, they could still be handy to have just in case..).

Howdy Zia

I hope you're having a terrific weekend.
Mine's been pretty good.

The battery in my camera needed charging, so I figured I should probably start going through the photos on the memory card. I didn't realise I had about three hundred photos to go through. My computer's not showing thumbnails of them either for some reason, so I'm having to load them all up in Paint Shop Pro just to see what they are before I categorise them.
There's some funny ones of the cats and several of a big juicy Redback spider on the lawn. Do you get Black Widows where you are?
I'll have to upload some more photos to post.

Have a super duper day! :D

Thank BW. I shouldn't need any contacts. Keep in mind, my work is hosted by Australians. I don't work alone. It usually takes 10 -12 of us when overseas.

Hi Zia,

Been so busy lately with short days and heavy work loads, Ramadan here, everything stops at 2pm, so sorry I haven't been able to drop by and say HI.

Hope everything is good with you.

Hi Zia,

I'm not Muslim, I'm a non practicing Presbyterian, I live in Dubai with my wife. At the moment the whole country basically shuts down at about 2pm and starts up again at dusk, restaurants are closed for the whole day excepting for some of the junkier places that will deliver. So fasting is sort of forced on us until we get home and can cook. I work in Real Estate and Property Development, which is a huge industry here (Dubai has over 20% of all the cranes in the world at the moment), so with short days I have been struggling to get any reasonable volume of work done.

I hope this answers your curiosities Hon, but if you want to ask anything else feel free, I don't mind at all.

Have a great day Zia.

G'day, again..

ZiaAries wrote: Me come there and YOU show me things? But... Bushwacker, you don't even have a dinner jacket or a sports coat. I would eventually have to eat at some point.

You did say you would have to eat sometime, didn't you... :P

P.S. I don't like Sydney very much - I only go there for business, shopping (rarely..), weddings, and such... :D
(I think you would get a more unbiased perspective off Minigirl or franfran - as they live there - I haven't been down there for more than two years now.. )
I can guarantee, though, that nobody would learn anything about me or my country from just a few days in Sydney town - you would need to spend a couple of days with me. :P

I felt foolish when you admitted that you are revcowgirl because I gave her/you the benefit of the doubt and added her to my friends list when she invited me. I deplore deceit of another. Do you really think I'd play with my friends playing them for fools. Shame on you for planting the seeds of doubt in suggesting that I may play a game of fooling my friends and those that I trust and trust me on FF.

It's like gossip. I learned early on.... words said or "seeds planted" are like feathers in a pillow release in the wind. No matter what has been said, there is NO way a person can go back and pick up all the feathers that have been scattered about. Words are the same way. Am I over-reacting? Maybe, so but all I have is my word and I haven't fooled you or my other friends. I resent your implication and accusation. You could have at least ask me before you put those "feathers out in the wind" of FF. I happen to like the people here, even though I lay suspect. I hate how one is guilty until proven innocent. And.... fat chance of being proved innocent when doubt is already been placed out there.

You are 100% correct. I'm sorry, not much more that I can say really.

Hope all is happy and fun for you. The weekend will be here soon.

Any FBI Agents lately? :P

Stay Sweet. XXO, Zia

Hello Zia

Yes I caught one this week, but it would appear there was a hole in my net and I let it escape.

Enjoy your weekend. :D

:D It [your accent..] will probably be just how I imagine it...

As for my own accent - some like it, some find it a bit rough (thankfully those are a rarity..), most are probably neutral and accepting. My voice tends to be soft, deep, gentle but with that potential to make a lot of noise..

Once many people have heard me on the phone, they tend to know its me the next time - I seem to have one of those unique "phone voices" that way, (don't know if it's an asset - maybe I sound that much dopier on the phone :? ).

The temps are dropping down to the 70's F here and it's so nice to get a break from the heat. I suppose it's now shifting over to your side.

 Bye-Bye

Zia, You do exist! :D

Yes, It's slowly getting warmer, but we've been having off and on sun and storms lately.

Hope you're having a nice weekend. 8)
