Clear the browser's cache...

Try SeaMonkey download... Or uninstall your present browser, and reinstall it, but first download a fresh one, or two, or three to try...

Run an up to date AVS, and Spybot S&D, and CCleaner, and run ScanDisk, and Defrag, and run Free Window Registry Repair...
I've been using those softwares every day for a year in W98se, and in XP... they haven't done any wrongs for a year... Nothing but a smooth clean PC...

Now some-one is gonna jump-in, and tell you how bad registry cleaners are... and how bad I am for even suggesting registry cleaners...
Try it, you'll like it...
I've tried all the peak registry cleaners on the internet.. and these are safe as safe can be...

No, I'm actually going to tell laur that your entire post is bollocks. Not just the bit about registry cleaners.

Laur - ignore cosmic as he/she talks complete bollocks.

You've installed talktalk broadband - that will be the problem right there. Go remove their softwarem, find a decent provider and you'll be fine.
