I have a 16 year old daughter. Cute. Popular. Innocent.
In the last year the subject of boy/girl sleepovers has come up! WHAT?? It's totally innocent. I see the pictures and the comments on myspace. I have talked to the parents that DO allow it and they are in the home and checking on the kids. They just hang out, play video games, watch movies and then crash all over the couches and floor. It's ususally just friends - no hookups or couples. But still, I'm not sure I want to go here.

Anyone else with teens been dealing with this kind of new world stuff?

I'm not sure that it will stay innocent for long. I'm not looking forward to my little ones turning teen.

My son called me this weekend and ASKED if he could bring 6 people over to DRINK. They are aged 15 to 18. I was pleased that he asked, but of course said no! He was thinking that they could ALL spend the night so they would be safe. The drinking, the boys and girls, the LAWS ----nothing occured to him. Tried to talk to him the next day and he was like "I don't want to talk about it." I hated it. Just waiting for it to come up again, only next time, he probably won't call and ask!

Im sixteen hon, and let me tell you. If they are anything like the kids I know....they aren't so innocent. As a teen, I can tell you it ain't that hard to keep quiet and put on a show making it seem like we are doing something "innocent".

You are right not to let her do it!
Parties like that are all about breaking down boundries to make it easier to get into her pants!

Time to tell her what whores do and that you don't want to raise one!

She probably just wants her friends there and not just her girl friends.

I dont think at 16 it is a good idea though.

You’re about to create an orgy fest in your home. I will tell you that you have enough legal issues to worry about her female friends. You don’t' need another aspect coming into play. Can you just imagine if one of those girls cried rape? All hell would break loose and you’re responsible. Just the other day I saw a girl get her ass beat on T.V by people she thought were her friends at a sleepover. Save yourself the drama, be a parent not her friend.

Strangely enough I think they are much more innocent than people of my age (50) were as teenagers. There wasn't so much "in your face" sex or even sex education. We were all terrified of getting pregnant but very keen to get self educated. It was great. Very Happy

If you read some of my posts you will see that I excercise a lot and do specific excercises to keep my bum and legs in shape.

However you are making several assumptions. Have you considered the following:

1 - Its easy to "airbrush" digital photos

2 - It may not be a recent photo

3 - It may not be my bum

4 - Various combinations of the above.

Anyway, if you like it, enoy.....
