i am nearly 17 and need to start thinking about uni etc and what i want to do in life. i got very good gcse results, and hopefully i will do well in my a-levels. the thing is, i have no idea what i want to do.... the only thing i want to do is travel and see the world, really embrace it all. i have no idea how to do this though... i don't fancy being an air hostess or a travel rep, i would like a career that is quite high profile (sounds mercenary i know, but whatever) any ideas anyone??

but i want my career to enable me to travel, as that's the only thing i have a passion for, so a gap year wouldnt satisfy me, i want a job that i love, not some monotonous existence.

You could try getting into adult entertainment and tour the high class strip clubs hocking pictures of yourself sitting on horny guys knees, t-shirts you've body painted yourself onto, and various other "souvenirs."

join the navy, you can travel that way, while you figure out what career path you wish to take. You'll get experience in something that you can take with you.

Do a search for large multinational companies who have offices/factories/customers all over the world, as they will often expect you to travel.

I work as an engineer, and some of the guys i work with spend up to 16 weeks per year abroad in all sorts of places; australia, thailand, south america, europe, russia, poland...

Have you thought of holiday repping?
Good way to get out and see places and learn why you;re doing it.. basic wage isn;t millions but accom is usually covered and many find it easy to live off their commission once in resort. Go for TUI or Thomas Cook with the way things are goin x
