Dreams about cancer

Newbie here, I quite often have odd dreams but I'd first like to get out of the way a particular genre that's been troubling me lately.

One dream was a couple of months ago. So at the very start of the dream I am diagnosed with breast cancer, so I am pretty promptly put under the knife for a left mastectomy. What's more unusual is the post-op treatment. They arrange to send me home that same day, even though it is obviously rather major surgery, but first they give me a round of chemo intravenously, again the same day as surgery. Then my doctor comes around to speak with me before discharge, and at one point she says something indicating that she thinks that I have children, which I don't even though I would very much like them one day. Turns out that the chemo that she had just given me would render me infertile, and despite my rather visible upset at this she kind of shrugs it off (I must here note that the doctor in this dream bears a rather striking resemblance to a casting agent with whom I had a bit of a conflict some time ago, and the room that we are speaking in looks more like a backstage area). Then a friend comes to pick me up and soon after we leave, he gets pulled over and I end up driving the rest of the way home. At one point I stop at a Wendy's drive-through, and there we run into an acquaintance of my friend's, who has giant breasts and keeps waving them in my face. And that's about where I woke up, IIRC.

In another, a couple of weeks ago, it again opens with a diagnosis of breast cancer, but then I leave the doctor's office and just wander around the city for a bit. I go into a bookstore, which from the storefront looked classy but then I go inside and it all looks rather scuzzy and run-down. I stay for a bit reading self-help books, but finding them to be of no help I go to the dive bar around the corner and drink several mojitos. And that's about all that I remember of that one.

Any thoughts? One contributing factor may be that my grandmother died of cancer earlier this year (stomach, not breast). Also, very shortly before the first dream my sister had a bit of a psychiatric scare, so I don't know how exactly that might tie into it but I have an odd sense that it may, especially the driving part as I had another driving-related dream that actually involved my sister around that same time.
