I like pointed shoes...but some of them can be just too pointed. Like elves shoes! At the moment I am liking round toe boots and courts.

Don't like them.
They've been 'in' too long!

For girls they screech: "wicked witch"

For guys they scream: "square toes make my feet look bigger but you can never tell if they really are....these pointy shoes will assure you of dissappointment, make me feel 'bigger' regardless, and will no doubt trip me over flat on my face at some point of time."

i bought a pair of pointy boots some years ago and just couldnt get the hang of them - the toes kept dragging on the ground when i walked! Sad now i dont think ive got too big feet (i'm a 7) but was bad enough trying them at home and them catching on the carpet i had to take them back and change them for a non-pointy toe style. couldn;t have been happier with those Very Happy

I just walk as nomal in the said heel. Hey the silly plastic tip dosn't take lont to wear down. Pub floores are my fav. Around the pool table and at the bar. I can feel my shoe heel crunch the wood flooring. I was at my boyfriends mates rented house just after new year. I stood in one place all night . The newly laid laminate flooring took a pounding. It wasn't my fault the floor dents.

I think you're right Nina, that's why we endure the pain. I love wearing pointy toed stiletto boots all day for work but I pay for it at the end of the day as my feet are so sore and red. I normally give them a good rub, use a foot spa and try to look after them.

Wearing stilettos is like walking with a toothpick as a heel but I love the sexy sound of the heels on wooden floor and concrete. People definately know you are around and notice you more. The pointy toe makes the boots an extension of your leg and I feel really sexy walking around in stilettos, that's why I'll never wear boots with a wedge heel.

on a purley trend driven answer they are really not de reguer for this season.

they can be very sexy but totally done to death, maybe you guys should start reading elle or vogue

if you really want to be cool wedges and platforms without a point are massive, also flat ballerinas for day wear will be cool

it matters a lot more to me that a woman look attractive rather than fashionable. for example, those ugly blocky platforms were in fashion in the 90s but i never understood how any woman thought they looked attractive wearing footwear like frankenstein. but then again, i'm a guy.
