Turfed out

2 months ago 17th May 13:15

An entire school year was sent home after pranksters turfed over their common room.

The last day of term at the Banchory Academy, Aberdeen, Scotland, got out of hand when 16 and 17-year-old pupils laid grass on the entire floor.

Teachers said they took action after discovering some members of the year had been drinking. 100 pupils were sent home so as not to disrupt exams taking place at the school.

A school spokesman said: "This is a very poor way for pupils to end their school career and we hope those who disrupted the day understand the upset their actions have caused."

Clearing up the turf will cost hundreds of pounds.
