A four-year-old hunting dog was found mummified inside a hollow tree in the US state of Georgia.
The animal, said to have lived in the 1960s, is thought to have accompanied its master on a hunt when it ran off to chase a smaller animal.
However, the dog then got stuck in a hollow chestnut tree during its hunt.
Due to the conditions of the tree, which was like a "coffin", the animal became mummified instead of naturally decaying.
It was found in the by loggers who were cutting down trees in the forest. The dog is now on display in Waycross' Southern Forest World Museum.
