A company in China have invented a remote control flying saucer which can reach heights of up to 3,200ft.
The Harbin Smart Special Aerocraft Company spent more than £2 million and 12 years developing a prototype of the 4ft-diamater saucer. It is designed to monitor forest fires and manage high-rise building rescues using aerial photography, geological survey and emergency lights.
The device has been successfully flown in the skies above Harbin City in the Heilongjiang Province, and manufacturers discovered it can fly for up to 40 minutes at a speed of up to 50mph.
A small number of the saucers are expected to go on sale in September.
