Child driver

4 months ago 28th Jun 13:15

A seven-year-old boy in Indiana drove his grandmother's car more than a mile to his local shopping mall.

Motorists in the city called police to report a small child driving towards the Muncie Mall.

Before police arrived, driver Matthew Sands of Hartford City followed a Geo Tracker vehicle into the parking lot in a bid to get the child to pull over.

After the boy backed his grandmother's car into Sands' vehicle, Sands managed to get him to stop and get the keys from him.

He was awfully small to be driving a car.

Sands said: "He was awfully small to be driving a car."

Police Chief Deborah Davis added: "I'm kind of amazed at the whole thing."
