One of the highlights of this weekâs show came in the form of 16-year old Diana Vickers from Blackburn.
âI adore singing, itâs all I can do, I do it all the time,â she explains to Dermot.
âI want this more than anything, itâs my future, I want to be onstage and do something I love. I want this really badly!â
Once inside the audition room Dianaâs cheeks flush and Cheryl asks: âYouâre very nervous arenât you?â
Diana just giggles and the rest of the judges laugh. The ice has broken and she seems to look more at ease.
She tells them that she will be singing The Blowerâs Daughter by her idol, Damien Rice: âI love him! I think heâs awesome!â
At the end of her song the judges look at each other and seem pleased with what they have heard.
âThereâs something very unique, very distinctive about your voice,â says Cheryl.
Dannii admits that she loves the tone of Dianaâs voice, but warns her about her diction.
âLove the song choice and love that youâre differentâ smiles Louis: âYouâre like a little hippy!â
"One of my favourites today," proclaims Simon: "I absolutley loved it."
Dianaâs aura must have rubbed off on the judges, as the audition room is filled with peace and love, and she is through to bootcamp.
Far out.
